There was a time, not so long ago as to have entirely passed out of recollection, when the world used to be larger.
Back then - once upon a Time - there were as there are Today, folks who lived all across the face of the World. Most were content to live their lives in the same corner of dirt where they had been born. Some, however, felt the unbearable calling of the Unknown.
So they set out to explore the vastness beyond the maps' edges, to encounter new and wonderful peoples and challenge unspeakable foes. Some of them found Grymmsburg.
One of them writes back every month ...

Questions from the Threshold
everything you're curious to know but may be too afraid to ask
When does my first dispatch arrive?
Every dispatch leaves Grymmsburg on the 13th of the month. Subscribe before the 1st and your first envelope rides out with that month's post; subscribe on or after the 1st and it joins the following cycle. From there, a fresh dispatch is smuggled to your door each month.
Can I switch or cancel tiers?
Freely. You may raise your standing, lower it, or end your correspondence entirely at any time from your account - no penalty, no questions asked. Changes made after the 1st of the month take effect with the next cycle. For the finer points of cancellation and refunds, consult our Terms & Conditions.
Where do you ship?
Everywhere the post will carry us. Dispatches travel worldwide by the Romanian postal service, though a few corners of the map remain beyond our reach - through no fault of ours, and not for want of trying.
Can I track my dispatch?
No - and deliberately so. To keep the letters within fair reach of every reader, we send by standard international post, which carries no tracking. Once a dispatch leaves our hands it travels the old way: quietly, and on faith.
How long until my dispatch arrives?
That depends on how far it must travel, and what lies between. Allow up to 21 days for your correspondence to find your door. Contraband, as a rule, does not hurry.
My letter never arrived, or arrived damaged. What do I do?
Write to us. The road out of Grymmsburg is long and not always kind, and now and then a dispatch is lost or arrives the worse for wear. If yours does, reach out - a photograph of any damage helps us set it right the faster.
What's the quality, really?
Every piece is printed on paper chosen with care - from hand-aged kraft for the city's gazettes to fine-art Hahnemuhle stock for the illustrated postcard. Made to be kept, not discarded.
Do I need to play a TTRPG?
Not in the slightest. The stories and publications are written to be read for their own sake. The bestiary, character sheets and map are gifts for those who bring the city to their table - and easily set aside by those who don't.
When will Archivist subscriptions open?
The Archivist tier is presently closed to new correspondents. The archives are under preparation — certain arrangements must be made before the files can be safely handled by outside parties. We expect to open the tier in September and will not delay further than that.
Can I write back to Grymmsburg?
You're most welcome to. The city's residents would be glad of word from beyond the walls. Whether their replies ever clear the postal offices is another matter - Grymmsburg's struggles being what they are, letters bound outward have a way of never leaving. Write anyway. Someone, somewhere in the city, will read it.
